As part of our commitment to excellence in African performing arts, Giamari hosts an annual Teachers & Students Training, Syllabus Review and Interpretation Workshop ahead of the festival competition.

This workshop is designed to help teachers, coaches, and participants gain a deeper understanding of the festival syllabus and adjudication process. Facilitators will cover essential performance techniques, effective training methods, song and repertoire selection, stage presentation, and the key elements that adjudicators assess during the festival.

The workshop covers all festival disciplines, including: Marimba, Mbira, Dance, Singing, Public Speaking.

Whether you are attending the festival for the first time or are a returning participant, this workshop provides valuable insights that can significantly improve the quality of preparation and performance. It also equips teachers with practical strategies for coaching learners and selecting appropriate material that meets the festival standards.
